Six girls in the residential care facility were interviewed. Four themes have been identified from data analysis, including cognition, evaluation, change, and expectation. The following suggestions are based on the findings of this study: (1) independent living services should be developed to integrate with knowledge and experience; (2) independent living services should be life-oriented and individualized; (3) client participation in program development is vital; (4) in addition to life skills training, mental well-being also should be enhanced. |
