In the Internet era, on-line games have become one of the major leisure activities ofelementary students. This study aims to discuss the influence of on-line games and internetaddiction on campus bullying. The scale proposed by Professor Sue-Huei Chen in 00 isadopted for measuring internet addiction. Measurement of campus bullying is conducted basedon the proposed campus bullying questionnaire in this research. With the research results, weoffer valuable suggestions for parents.This study used a judgmental sample survey. The subjects were 0 students fromelementary schools in a county. A total of questionnaires were collected. The obtaineddata was analyzed by analysis of correlation, descriptive analysis (frequency and percentage),independent samples T test, one-way ANOVA, and simple linear regression in SPSS. The resultsof the study indicate.. The years, frequency, and time of playing on-line games of boys are higher than that ofgirls. However, no significance level exists in playing experience and time, [display boystudents than girl students like playing on-line games,??] parents must pay attention to theirchildren's frequency and time playing on-line games.. The tendency towards internet addiction and campus bullying in boys is higher than that ingirls, so teachers should strengthen the management of regular school life.. Involvement of on-line games and the tendency of internet addiction and campus bullyingshow a significantly positive correlation for higher grades students, so parents shouldprevent children having premature contact with on-line games.. The types of games played on-line significantly influence the tendency of internet addictionand campus bullying, so parents should filter the types of on-line games, and choose puzzlegames.. The tendencies of internet addiction and the campus bullying show a significantly positivecorrelation. School teachers and parents should pay attention to whether children areaddicted to on-line games and regulate the playing time. |
