Currently, Taiwan has come into an era of new migration society in which the new immigrants have become an important member of the society and have had close association with the local communities. In such a situation, the fact that how the people living in this place have treated those immigrants is not only related to their adaptation but also shows many social implications in our local communities. So the purpose of the article is to explore the college students' first impressions on the foreign spouses and to figure out the social implications from their deep descriptions and interpretations. With data from a discussion forum on the author's curriculum website in 2011, the article categorized, deep described, and interpreted them by the way of content analysis method. Moreover, the article also tries to discuss the social implications in terms of the college students' national impressions, multiculturalisms, and marriage perspectives. |
