What Influences Us?－ Factors Affecting Friendly/Unfriendly Relationships between Foster Social workers and Foster Family

寄養社工與寄養家庭關係是否友善之所以重要，是因為深刻的影響寄養家庭照顧品質，故本研究目的是探究影響寄養社工與寄養家庭友善／不友善關係之因素，作為將來強化寄養家庭照顧服務品質之參考。本研究是針對高屏地區各6名寄養社工與寄養家庭受訪者進行一對一深入訪談。研究結果發現，寄養社工與寄養家庭同樣是寄養照顧團隊的成員，但又因為角色的差異，對於影響彼此關係友善／不友善因素的看法有相同之處，但是也有相異之處。但是，可以確認的是寄養社工對寄養家庭適時的提供實質性與情感性支持，是建立雙方友善關係的基礎；寄養社工擁有敏感度與正向個人特質，對於與寄養家庭友善關係有加分效果；無效溝通是寄養社工與寄養家庭友善關係的致命傷；寄養社工相信寄養家庭的照顧能力，並且具體說明彼此應該扮演的角色與工作項目，可以強化彼此的友善關係。

Friendliness of relationship between foster social worker and foster family is important because it profoundly influences care quality of foster family. Therefore, objective of the present study is to investigate factors affecting friendly-unfriendly relationships between foster social workers and foster families in order to provide a reference for enhancing care and service quality of foster family in the future. This research conducts one-on-one in-depth interviews with six foster social workers and six foster family interviewees from Kaohsiung and Pingtung areas. Results show, due to their different roles, foster social workers and foster families show not only similarities but also differences in opinions of factors influencing such friendly or unfriendly relationship although they are both members of foster care group. However, what can be confirmed is that foster social worker's substantial and emotional support timely offered to foster family is the basis for establishing a friendly relationship between them. Foster social worker's sensitivity and positive personal trait will exert a positive effect on friendly relationship with foster family. Invalid communication is a “fatal wound” for friendly relationships between foster social workers and foster families. If foster social workers trust foster family's care ability and can specifically explain roles and work items of each party, their friendly relationship will be strengthened.
