This study examines an English teaching practicum course taking place in the form of onlinetutoring at an institute of technology in mid-southern Taiwan. It presents a case study in thequalitative research tradition with data collected from class observations, teaching journals andopen-ended surveys. The purpose of this study is to portray how information andcommunication technology is incorporated into an English teaching practicum, as well as toexplore how the practicum equips college students with computer skills and teaching abilitiesto be future English teachers. The results of this study demonstrate instructor’s observationsand participating students’ perspectives of their learning from this practicum, which hasimplications for future practice and further research. |
