The purpose of this research was to explore an art teaching activity with the use of strategy ofcreative thinking skills. Researcher observed teacher’s teaching and collected children’s art works,then analyzed their creative performance by means of content analysis. Instructment in thisresearch was “children’s creative work table.” The results indicated that (1) teacher can stimulateyoung children's active imagination by utilizing the strategies of thinking skills. During the process,teacher exploited the strategy of visualization to stimulate young children’s original ideas on thecreative works. (2) most of young children’s art works showed creative performance in fluency,originality, elaboration, naming, and etc.. However, only a few young children’s art work indicatedcreative performance in flexibility. |
