Clinical manifestations of Kimura's disease include recurrent cervical lymphadenopathy, soft tissue tumor, eosinophilia and elevated serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels. The diagnosis is based on the distinct clinical and pathological findings. However, other lymphoproliferative diseases may present similar clinical symptoms overlapped with Kimura's disease. Serial lymph node biopsies might be necessary until the final histopathology evolved. This may complicate the clinical diagnosis based on the initial presentation. We describe a case of peripheral T cell lymphoma presenting with fever, diffuse lymphoadenopathy, eosinophilia and elevated IgE mimicking Kimura's disease. |
