An author’s complete works is a document of a specific literary style which is formed by selecting and organizing all the works and creations of one writer, which is a manner of data systematization. An author’s thought and statement can be expressed efficiently through organizing all these works and related references. Hence, it is necessary to clarify the purpose of editing and to design the structure editing for an author’s complete works. There is no standard structure editing, a handbook or even a guidebook to reference for Taiwanese author’s complete works. This eventually leads to varied structure editing. For the purpose of collecting, organizing, and applying varied references, it is necessary to analyze how to manage bibliographies and references, and to summarize the principles. The complete works of Kui Yang is used as an example; to analyze the arrangement on its structure editing. Moreover, statistics related methods are employed in this paper to point out the editing principles which should be mastered so as to give a reference for those on editing author’s complete works. |
