The aim of this paper is to highlight the difference between viewpoints of Chinese and Western metaphysics by contrasting the discourse of the ancient Chinese Logician School with a dialectic raised by Zeno. The paper is divided into four sections: Section 1 describes and explains Zeno's dialectic. Section 2 presents the key issue of the dialectic in question. Section 3 makes a contrast between Zeno's dialectic and the discourses of Mo School and the Logicians of pre-Chin Chinese philosophy, then claims that both parties in fact face the same philosophical problem, although articulated differently. Section 4, the conclusion, provides the Logician discourse as an account for Zeno's puzzle by Chinese philosophers. |
