The main findings include, firstly, violence between siblings appears lower degree of severity, lower frequency, and lower willingness to seek help, compared to IPV population. Secondly, violence between siblings constitutes a great portion of the cases. Thirdly, the causes of violent conflict are diverse, mainly related to issues of elders care, property disputes, anddaily life friction. However, those who reported to be victims seem to have lower expectations and willingness to work with formal systems. It concludes that the nature of non-IVP domestic violence between family members is distinct from typical IPV in terms of its patterns of violence and desired solutions. Specially, the violence issues involved married immigrant women need to be contextualized and investigated in details. |
