Introduction to the Special Issue: The Research Project for Museum Measurement

建構客觀與合理的認定、績效評量指標、推動博物館系統與博物館指定，是進行博物館有效營運的當務之急。因我國的博物館各項制度起步甚晚，本次專輯將檢視英、美、日、澳、紐、愛爾蘭、義大利與我國的實施現況進行分析後，建構出我國博物館認定、評量指標建置、台灣大博物館系統與博物館指定計畫架構。

An objective and appropriate museum accreditation scheme, performance indicators, vigorous museum systems and a designation scheme are all urgently needed to improve museum services in Taiwan. However, there is very little Taiwan-based research relating to these areas. This special issue first examines how above instruments have been developed so far in the USA, the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Italy and Taiwan. The contributors then set up frameworks, drawing upon the experiences of these countries, which might be used in Taiwan.
