The purpose of this study was to survey the accessibility of Digital Archives, and evaluate their suitability for student learning. A total of 206 Digital Archives were surveyed to investigate whether they had valid hyperlinks. Then 19 Digital Archives were randomly selected from multilevel classified groups, in order to examine their suitability for student learning. The results showed that 68% Digital Archives had valid hyperlinks, while 21% had changed IP addresses, and 11% were closed or under construction. In general, the Digital Archives in the learning areas of Science and Technology as well as Health and Physical Education performed well; they were the most suitable websites for student learning. Among the evaluation criteria, authority, accuracy, difficulty level and media design were the best; while the liaison and currency needed more improvement. |
