he Advices written by Cheng Wang in Dance with musical instruments written by Zhou Gong on The Tsinghua University Warring States Bamboo Manuscripts (III), is a series of poems written by Cheng Wang to encourage himself, after Zhou Gong returned the political power to him. This article discusses the third chapter word by word, and affirms that the whole text expressed the self-request of Cheng Wang for Yuan De, and the concerns for the political stability of Zhou Dynasty. This article proposes a new interpretation for the following terms: “Yue Yuan Yu Yi(曰淵與抑)",“Bu Yi Wei Yi(不易威儀)",“Zai Yan Wei Ke(在言惟克)",“Fei Tian Jin De(非天矜德)",“Yi Mo Ken Zao Zhi(繄莫肯造之)",“Mao Fu Qi You Tuo(懋敷其有脫)". Furthermore, this article also shows the rhyme relationship of “Wei Zai(畏載)"read as“Wei Ji(畏忌)", and the demonstration of the relation of “Yi(殹)"read as“(繄)"which explained as “form word". |
