NCL Celebrates Teachers' Day and 55th Anniversary in Taiwan NCL celebrated Teachers' Day and the 55th anniversary of its operations in Taiwan with an appreciation banquet on September 28. The banquet was held to thank individuals and institutions that have donated books to the NCL collection, as well as publishers and foreign country representative offices that have supported the library over the years. The banquet was joined by representatives from the cultural and educational offices of 14 countries, including Japan, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Vietnam, Russia, Mongolia, and Burkina Faso, as well as scholars, publishers and experts. Vice Minister of Education Wu Tsaishung presented a congratulatory speech at the reception. Legislator Kuo Suchun was also invited to attend the banquet.
