Illustrated Catalog of the Exhibition 'In the Forefront of Change: Periodical First Issues' From October 6 to November 10, 2007, the NCL hosted an exhibition of over 200 first issue periodicals published in Taiwan between 1945 and 1987. As the legal deposit agency for publications in Taiwan, the NCL has an extensive collection of periodicals. The library has previously displayed these publications at national periodical exhibitions in 1968, 1970 and 1986. For the current exhibition, the library also produced an exhibition catalog introducing the characteristics and development of each of the exhibited titles in four sections: humanities and thought, political commentary, local documents, and culture and arts, with each section chronologically arranged.
