Cross-strait Seminar on Library Terminology

Librarians and information science specialists from the Greater China area assembled in Macao from June 28 to July 1, 2002 for a preparatory meeting ahead of the “Third Seminar on Chinese Resource Sharing,” held in Macao in September. There were 24 participants at the workshop representing major libraries and institutions in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. The Taiwan delegation was headed by National Parliamentary Library director Karl Min Ku (顧敏). The NCL was represented by Ms. Yu Hsiaoming (俞小明), head of the Readers Service Department, and Ms. Jen Yung-chen (任永禎). Huang Hung-chu (黃鴻珠), Ching Hsiang-hu (景祥祜) and Tsai Ching-lung (蔡清隆), directors, respectively, of the libraries at Tamkang University, Feng Chia University, and Shih Chien University, also attended the meeting.
