CCS Cultural Field Trip

Visiting foreign scholars at the Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) were treated to a daylong tour of cultural sites and activities on June 14 this year. The trip included visits to Ilan (宜蘭) County’s Museum of History and Taiwan Theater Museum, Dragon Boat races and other festival activities in Erlungtsun (二龍村), and a dinner and soak at the Chiaohsi (礁溪) hot springs. The tour, which was also joined by staff from the CCS and NCL, provided an opportunity for foreign scholars to experience first hand the culture, traditions and cuisine of Taiwan.
