Research Methods Symposium

Scholars converged at the NCL on May 17 for the Symposium on Research Methods, sponsored by the Ministry of Education and NCL. Participants at the daylong meeting discussed various theories on research methods outlined in papers by three prominent authorities in this field. The morning session kicked off with a discussion of “Qualified and Quantified Research Methods,” by Professor Kuo Liang-wen (郭良文) of the Institute of Broadcasting at Shih Hsin University. He was followed by Professor Chen Chao-chen (陳昭珍), an associate professor of library and information science at National Taiwan Normal University, who spoke on “Exploring and Using Research Resources.”
