Workshop for Library Volunteers

Some 60 volunteers at major libraries across Taiwan were invited to take part in a four-day training workshop from September 4 to 7. The workshop, sponsored by the NCL under direction of the Ministry of Education, was held at the personnel training center of the Bank of Taiwan. The objectives of the workshop were as follows: 1. To promote personal growth and provide service training to library volunteers, enhance their professional library knowledge, improve service quality, and assist the promotion of library activities. 2. To enhance exchanges and the sharing of experience among volunteers at various libraries, effectively use the human resources of society, and to help build a society of life-long education and service.
