To assess the degree to which Badllus cereus and Escherichia coli may contaminate Soy-bean and jelly products, 150 samples were randomly collected from traditional and commercial super-markets, in the southern region of Taiwan. R cereus was detected in 4.67% of the total samples collected (7/150); 7.69% of 26 tofu samples, 8.33% of 12 soy milk samples, 3.96% of 101 jelly samples, 0% of 11 soy yogurt samples. E. coli was detected in only one soy milk sample (0.67% of 150 total samples). |
