節拍式化療來治療復發的卵巢上皮癌

Metronomic chemotherapy in the management of recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer

卵巢上皮癌，一旦復發，預後均很差，超過五年的存活率幾乎不可能。在早期的治療方式，如果可以再開刀，均選擇在將其內的腫瘤儘可能的切除，在選擇第一線或第二線的抗癌藥物治療。當然也有捨棄手術，直接進行化療的做法。但是如同上述，不管採取何種方法，這類病人預後顯然都不好，一般都已三年存活率來評估，超過五年的存活率幾乎不可能。因為有「節拍式的治療」的概念，需我們將這樣的想法用在病患的治療身上。本病例，就是介紹一位復發的卵巢上皮癌。患者，從復發的第二次手術，經過節拍式的化療，已經存活超過十年。

The prognosis of recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer is extremely poor. It is impossible to live more than 5 years when women had recurrent epithelial ovarian cancers. Chemotherapy is a main therapy, regardless of repeat surgery status. However, both strategies provide little chance to survive. We used the “metronomic therapy” strategy in the effectively prolonged the survival of a patient with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer. After recurrence, this patient had a more than 10-year survival.
