The investigation of coumarin, β-asarone and total hydrocyanic acid in marketed drinks were performed from October 1986 to June 1987 in Taiwan. Cotents of coumarin and β- asarone in drinks were analyzed by gas chromatography. Total hydrocyanic acid were analyzed by colorimetric method and measured the absorbance by spectrophotometer. The recovery and detectable level of coumarin, β- asarone were respectively 93.5%. 91.6% and 0.2mg/kg. 0.05mg/kg. The detectable level of total hydrocyanic acid was 0.05 mg/kg. The results showed that only one of 56 samples contained coumarin 0.75mg/kg, the amounts ofβ-asarone and total hydrocyanic acid were all under the detectable level. All samples didn't violate the legal allowance amounts 2mg/kg for coumarin, 0.1mg/kg forβ- asarone and 1 mg/kg for total hydrocyanic acid. |
