巿售化粧品面霜類中汞及其化合物鉍鹽及硼酸鹽之調查檢驗

INVESTIGATION ON THE ADULTERATION OF MERCURY MERCURY-CONTAINING COMPOUNDS, BISMUTH SALTS AND BORATE IN THE FACE CREAMS OF COSMETICS

為繼續追蹤調查檢驗市售面霜類化粧品中汞及其化合物，於民國七十五年八月起至七十六年一月間，分赴台灣區各縣市鄉鎮抽購面霜類化粧品計300件，除檢驗汞鹽外，並擇項加驗鉍鹽及棚酸含量情形。先以二苯卡腙及二苯硫卡腙定性法，檢驗是否含有汞及其化合物，另外以甲酚橙及碘化鉀定性法以及二苯胺定性法檢驗鉍鹽及硝酸鹽，並以原子吸光法定量含有次硝酸鉍檢體；又以焰色反應及薑黃試紙定性法檢驗硼酸及硼酸鹽，並以DNNDO試藥呈色法，定量含有硼酸檢體。

According to the Law of the control of cosmetric Hygiene in Taiwan, Bismuth salts are allowed to be used at a level of 3.0%, while mercury and its compounds and borates are prohibited to be present in commercial face creams, the Bureau investigated three hundred Case samples purchased in Taiwan area from August 1986 to January 1987, Results showed that forty-five samples (15.0%) were detected mercury and its compounds. Sixteen samples (5.3%) were adulterated Bismuth sub-nitrate and three samples were detected Borate, but only one sample (0.33%) was contents over 0.5% of Boric Acid.
