Sharing of government data from agencies to the public has become an important policy among the government around the world. It is indicated that data possessed by governments can be shared with and utilized by the public to create value-added and innovative uses. This research explores the current development of open government data in Taiwan e-Government by using case study methodology. Five dimensions are suggested to focus on during the development of open government data. The five dimensions are legislation and policy, sharing approaches, technological standard and data format, scope of open data, promotions of open data, copyright and license. |
