Chung-min Wang (1903-1975) was one of the famous professionals of bibliographical study in China. He appraised and arranged the Chinese rare books collected in the Library of Congress from 1939 to 1947 as two volumes of the Descriptive Catalog of Rare Chinese Books in the Library of Congress, which were published in Washington DC., 1957. The publication was seldom seen in China because of the disconnection with the United States of America. After the Cultural Revolution, the posthumous papers Abstracts of Rare Chinese Books was published which included more than 4400 titles collected in Pei-Ching Library, Library of Pei-Ching University, and the Library of Congress. |
