從文化保存到教育學習－－故宮博物院器物典藏資料檢索系統使用者需求與使用研究

User and Use Study of National Palace Museum Antiquities Digital Archives Retrieval System

數位典藏的使用者研究是數位化趨勢中的重要研究議題。本研究旨在探討故宮器物數位典藏子計畫所研發的「器物典藏資料檢索系統」之好用性。由於該系統早期多從管理與典藏的角度規劃，較少考慮到使用者的資訊搜尋、使用行為，導致系統現有使用者過少，且不清楚核心使用者是誰。為使器物數位典藏子計畫所產出之數位內容更合乎使用者需求，乃以建置完成的資料為基礎，進行實徵研究，透過深度訪談等方式，瞭解器物典藏品特性與各類使用者的內在需求，針對系統設計不足的地方，提出五大方面之具體改善途徑，分別是「系統內容」、「組織與呈現方式」、「系統功能」、「使用者意見之反應管道」以及「相關資源連結」，希能藉此提升「器物典藏資料檢索系統」之好用性。

This project investigates the potential user groups of National Palace Museum Antiquities Digital Archives Retrieval System to gain a better understanding for its users' needs and use applications from the users' perspective, and suggest practical guidelines for improving the system's usability. Based on the in-depth interview with diverse user groups, including scholars, researchers, students, volunteers, schools teachers, and general public, this empirical study found that different user groups would use the system in different ways and would have different expectations from the system. The findings of this empisrical investigation entail practical suggestions in five dimensions for system design to make it useful and usable to the potential user groups. Those implications and suggestions fall into the following categories: contents, information organization, functions, related resources, and user's correspondence channels.
