Children represent the future, and ensuring their healthy growth and development should be a prime concern of all societies. Adolescents, young people aged 10-19 years, are typically considered a healthy group. Promoting the health of children and adolescents and preventing negative health outcomes through innovative intervention strategies improve the quality of school nursing practice. Translating research on health promotion in children and adolescents into practice is important and crucial. Any method can be used for conducting research on health promotion in children and adolescents. This article recommends three research methods, namely action research, evidenced-based practice, and practicebased research networks (PBRNs). The professional development of school nurses depends on integrating academic and practical experiences for enhancing and satisfying clients’ needs and providing excellent service. Ultimately, school nurses can develop further only when they realize the value of their profession. Evidence from research and quality improvement projects provides innovative strategies for improving health outcomes in children, adolescents, and their families, thereby improving the quality of school nursing practice. |
