For traditional raku kiln, it was tedious and time-consuming to install the metal framework asbestos and lay the base. Besides, the external asbestos for insulation was toxic. In addition, there were no activities for enjoyment while waiting for kiln. Therefore, this study intends to use fireproof materials, with thermal shock resistance clay technics to improve the traditional raku kiln to be a mobile raku kiln with recreational functions (including a mobile kiln body and a kiln oven using afterheat). Thus, raku kiln will become an easy activity not only for promotion, but also for more fun in toasting pizza or other food while waiting. This research improved skeletal architecture, re-designed outward appearance, combined with firebricks, and developed action-style raku kiln, abandoning the traditional assembled kiln with rudimentary tools. Therefore, kiln became more aesthetic and durable, giving more profound impression. The recent market did not have this type of product. These new advantages will become major competitive virtues of this product. The employment of refractory material and development of structure design will bring the new merit for product commercial promotion.This study focused on the following innovations: 1. a combination of improved materials and technology to create a new value-added raku kiln. 2. an emphasis on pottery cultural services and spirit externally as well as a promotion of production process and safety usage of Raku kiln internally. 3. the diversified application of industry, and the establishment of the company's unique brand and product characteristics. 4. the integration of craft design, bringing raku kiln a new appearance. |
