More and more people care about sports and health in the wake of the popularity of sports knowledge. Most people are aware of the benefits and importance of exercise, however, at what level of intensity when exercising is the best for physical health has been the subject of concern to all exercisers. Therefore, it is required to gather adequate information for us to determine how much exercise gets the best results. Targeting the elliptical trainer exercise pattern, this study designs two different exercise intensity parameters, compares physiological changes of different genders after six weeks of exercise training, and analyzes the efficiency differences between the two exercise prescriptions in different genders. The results show that, regardless of any level of exercise intensity, the body mass index and body fat percentage of the female group have reduced significantly, contrarily the male group has not. Both groups have significantly improved cardiorespiratory endurance index before and after training, and the female group’s improvement is bigger than that of the male group, and the intermediate-intensity group performs better than the high-intensity group as well. High-intensity group’s muscular strength and endurance have remarkably improved of which the scale is more prominent than the intermediate -intensity group’s. |
