An eight-five years old female patient got cold when she was taking a bath after a nap (15~16 PM) on May 28th (the date of Dragon Boat Festival in 2009). After then, she always felt pain on her right frontal side of her head when she made a chewing movement. Therefore, she was afraid of eating and became gradually weaken. With the TCM clinical diagnosis, it occurred due to wind evil assailing the outer body and stagnation in three yang meridians of the foot. It was advised to take Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao San and Xiao-Chai-Hu-Tang in order to expel wind evil and regulate three yang meridians of the foot. Having two sessions of treatment after the preliminary diagnosis on June 22, her headache got significantly improved to 70%. On Sept. 3rd (the date of the Ghost Festival), her headache reoccurred. She felt very agitated. After taking Jia Wey Shiau Yau and Zhu Ye Shi Gao Tang as well as receiving acupuncture on Shenmen point (L), Taihsi point (L), Taichung (L) and Neiting point (L), her headache got totally improved. |
