英文摘要 |
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a collection of physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms related to a woman's menstrual cycle. Such symptoms are usually predictable and occur regularly during the two weeks prior to menses. Generally, symptoms may vanish after the start of menstrual flow. In the western medicine, medical interventions are primarily concerned with hormonal intervention and use of drugs in psychiatry, anodyne and diuretics. In traditional Chinese medicine, there is no such a disease name or clearly definition about premenstrual syndrome. The discourses of TMC on this disease, in general, are related to the symptoms before and after the menstrual cycle. There is only a small part involved in premenstrual syndrome. It is classified into the scope of emotion-caused disease. Until now, modern western medicine hasn't completely expounded the real cause of PMS and hasn't established any method for completely curing this disease. With the guiding of pathogenesis research and the progress of syndrome differentiation, TCM can provide a basic and effective clinical treatment. |
