The triangular fibrocartilage complex (also called the TFCC) is a small piece of cartilage and ligament on the little finger side of the wrist located just past the end of the forearm bone (ulna). TFCC injuries and degeneration can affect distal radio-ulnar joint stability and cause ulnar wrist pain. We tried to discuss it from anatomical structures and biomechanical features, and introduce some treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine from literature data. The methods of traditional manipulative therapy, Chinese drugs, acupuncture, massage, and Chinese herb fumigation are used to treat acute and chronic ulnar wrist pain. |
