免懷散加味治療產後乳房脹痛

Treatment of Postpartum Breast Distension with Jia Wei Tuhuai San

新產後氣血失養，絡脈空虛，正當要認真調養之時，因乳汁瘀滯不暢，結核成塊，痛脹難忍。此時可依臨床表現予以大補氣血，或補而行之，或先行消氣散結，而後方用調理之法。本篇兩個案例因新產後乳房脹滿，擠壓乳汁時疼痛難出，是為實症，以中醫的觀點稱為產後乳汁不行。臨床上選用方劑簡單，療效顯著的免懷散加味以治之。

During the postnatal period, it is easier for the mothers to have qi-blood loss of nutrition and deficiency in the meridians. Their lactation gets stoppled and lumped and causes breast pain and distension while they should need more care, rest, and nourishment. According to the clinical manifestations, we can treat it by qi-blood enriching for eliminating the disturbance, or by stasis-dissipating and mass-resolving for continuing nourishment. In the two cases of this study, the patients had the excess-syndrome of breast pain and distension. It is known in Chinese medicine as postpartum lactation disturbance. In clinical treatment, Jia Wei Tuhuai San was used because it has simple ingredients and good treatment outcome.
