The purpose of this study is to develop a scale for the workers and companies working for R&D job and to understand the effect of work passion. The research design began with a qualitative study and the data from the interviews were used towards the development of a scale. After that, the empirical scale was tested and purified by data collected from the employees of R&D department. Through the analysis, we prove that work passion is significant correlated with the effects of it. That is, although work passion is negative to job obsession, it will be positive to that as a U shape type when work passion is over. Although work passion is negative to job obsession, it will be positive to job obsession when work passion is over. Finally, researchers suggest that managers should strengthen employees’ valuable belief, build reasonable reward system and pay attention to the negative effects which may be led by work passion. |
