The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the aerobic dance on muscle strength and endurance of physical fitness for students with learning disabilities in the elementary school. The physical fitness includes muscle strength and endurance, body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness, and flexibility. The duration is proceeded for ten weeks in total with forty minutes aerobic dance intervention twice a week. With the comparison of the norm by the Ministry of Education in 2012, the intervention effect is positive and obvious to the underachieving elementary school students with learning disabilities. The results of C Statistics in items of “muscle strength and endurance” are significant. The intervention effect shown by the calculated effect size also demonstrates as high-level. The aerobic dance can provide effective maintenance effects in items on “muscle strength and endurance” of physical fitness. For virtual analysis, it presents the positive maintenance effect in items of “muscle strength and endurance” of physical fitness. For the calculated effect size, it demonstrates high-level maintenance effect in the term of “muscle strength and endurance”. According to the findings mentioned above, suggestions were proposed for future studies and muscle strength and endurance of physical fitness training in students with learning disabilities. |
