The sign of Leser-Trélat may be defined as the abrupt appearance of, or sudden increase in size and number of multiple seborrheic keratoses in association with an internal malignancy. Review of the reported cases of Leser-Trélat sign (L-TS), 55.0% had adenocarcinoma, of which 36.4% were adenocarcinomas of the stomach. Hematopoietic disease is the second most recorded neoplasm, accounting for 18.3%. Herein, we report a rare case of eruptive seborrheic keratoses with concurrent prostate adenocarcinoma and review the mechanism of epidermopoiesis which might be mediated by uncertain substance released from underlying malignancy. To the best of our knowledge, an exceptional case of L-TS associated with underlying prostate adenocarcinoma has been reported in English literature. |
