英文摘要 |
A 55-year-old male patient presented with a solitary, erythematous nodule with ulceration over the outer canthus of left eye for about 2 years. Histological examination of the nodule revealed typical features of trichilemmal carcinoma (TLC). TLC is a rare adnexal tumor related to the external hair sheath and distinct from proliferative trichilemmal tumor. Despite the presence of histologically malignant features, it has a relatively benign clinical behavior. So far as we known, less than 100 cases have been reported from 1972 to 2005 in English literature[1-19]. We discuss the clinical and histologic features and review the literatures of TLC. |
