Cai Pei-huo (1 889-1983), was born in Beigang, educated during the Japanese colonial period, and involved in the anti-colonial movement, but after \\吼叫, he served in the official under the rule of KMT. In the past, most of the studies about Cai focus on his pre-war activities. Oppositely, rare studies focus on his postwar period. Moreover, in most studies there are some sterotype of Cai. Actually, images of Cai in records are diverse which were not well studied. Therefore, by analyzing the discourse about Japan and China of Cai, this article attempts to give Cai Pei-huo a new evaluation. |
