The objective of this paper is to establish an appropriate inspection system of temporary structures for frame-type scaffolding which is commonly used at construction sites in Taiwan. Application of the inspection system will verify the functions of frame-type scaffolding and confirm its original design criteria. Thus, the safety of frame-type scaffolding can be ensured and collapses of temporary structures formed by scaffolding can be prevented. Based on feasible inspection technology and inspection algorithm, this study focuses on assuring the material quality of the scaffolding structure technically and systematically at different stages of use, dismantling, maintenance and inspection during its service life cycle. |
