The categories of school nursing are widespread, which is inclusive of everything about those people, matters and environment influencing student's health and those can be diffused from campus to menage and community. School nurses not only provide the health care to both of those in school and student's menage and community by means of cross-cutting cooperation but also create a healthy environment which is helpful to teachers and students. According to those, for the sake of teacher and student's health and the related needs, school nurse shall play a continuing and dynamic role including assessor, educator, counselor and manager, integrate the school, community and medical resources through the concept of three levels in public health, the aiding skill and systematic process and implement the various project for the sake of maximizing student and teacher's health interests; therefore, school nursing needed the long-time to care student is the sub-discipline under nurse. In order to stress the professionalization of school nursing, four dimensions of professionalization in school nursing will be draw out, including the core value of school nurse, the rage and competence of school nursing and the future of certificating school nurse-practitioner to suggest how to promote the professional function and image of school nurse and to ask the practitioners to rethink the professionalization of school nursing. |
