The impact of Asia-Pacific economic integration on Taiwan's economic and industry, mainly depends on the effect of economic integration affecting the substitution effect of the amount of Taiwan exports to ASEAN, mainland China or Japan and South Korea, and Taiwan to attract United States, and Japan and other effects of multinational enterprises' investment in Taiwan. After the establishment of free trade zone between China and ASEAN, the enterprises of Taiwan that have entered Chinas have a easier channel to export their products to the ASEAN market, and this trend will continue. However, early entry into the Southeast Asia investment from Taiwan, a large head start is not only familiar with the local market and established its network of industrial division, also achieve the effect of spread investment risks. However, expansion of the Asia-Pacific regional economic integration, Taiwan must be wider global arrangement, to cope with the competitive conditions of the development of the industry. Taiwan should also be consistent in actively promoting free trade agreement signatories, the Government should make it clear to the proposed economic partnership free trade agreement negotiations, and intended to persuade the target nations that "signatories of FTA aims at strengthening economic and trade cooperation, without causing unnecessary political tensions". Taiwan has to offer financial incentives and also should first overcome internal protectionism, and integration of industry consensus, domestic agro-industrial unit and administration unit of service industry, should speed up its review and made lists, accomplished planning work, and proposed Taiwan's agenda of global trade liberalization while opponents stressed the long-term interest of bilateral economic and trade relations. |
