The purposes of this study were (a) to investigate the public preschool educare givers’ role perception and job satisfaction based on the different background variables, (b) to understand the relationship between preschool educare givers’ role perception and job satisfaction under the integration of kindergartens and preschools. A questionnaire method was employed for this study. There were 570 preschool educare givers from the public affiliated preschools participated this study. The findings were as follows:(1)The preschool educare givers demonstrated the median-high score of teachers’ role perception and job satisfaction.(2)There were significant differences of preschool educare givers’ role perception among their different age, the status of marriage, the administrative experience and teaching years.(3)There were significant differences of preschool educare givers’ job satisfaction among the status of marriage, the administrative experience, the status of teachers’ qualification, the children’s age and the number of children.(4)There was a significantly positive correlation between preschool educare givers’ role perceptions and job satisfaction except the dimension of "salary, wages and related regulations". Among the dimensions of role perceptions, the "interpersonal communication" was moderated to highly related to the dimensions of job satisfaction. |
