This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using storybooks in helping Applied Foreign Languages majors enhance their writing competence. Writing stories was the major task in this study and the participants were provided opportunities to listen and read stories for a period of time before finally creating their own storybooks. All of the stories produced by the participants were presented in T-unit format to examine whether picture books help these college English majors improve their writing competence and sense of story. Moreover, a questionnaire was used to gain feedbacks of the participants and determine their attitude toward picture books. The T-test was used to analyze data in this study.此研究的目的在調查使用英文繪本幫助大專學生提升寫作能力的效果。參與此研究的是五專應用外語科的學生。在研究期間內,他們閱讀許多英文繪本並寫英文故事。從他們所寫的故事中去分析在持續閱讀英文繪本一段期間後,這些大專生的寫作能力是否有所提升。最後他們必須要創作出一本英文故事書。此外參與此研究的大專生必須填寫一份問卷關於閱讀英文繪本簡單的句型結構是否有助於他們的寫作能力。從問卷中發現所有的參與學生都能接受英文繪本並對閱讀英文繪本能提升他們的寫作能力持肯定的態度。 |
