金融海嘯後台、韓經濟表現之比較

Comparison of the Economic Performances of Taiwan and Korea from the Global Financial Crisis

台、韓兩國在現代化的過程中，各有優異的經濟表現且長期互為競爭。本文謹就近五（2008~2012）年來台、韓兩國從經濟成長率、對外貿易及國家競爭力排名等層面，比較觀察台、韓在經濟上之表現。比較結果發現，近五年來台灣整體經濟表現不亞於韓國。雖然，台灣在IMD世界競爭力評比及WEF全球競爭力評比的排名，仍領先韓國。但韓國卻迎頭趕上，成為當今世界發展最快的經濟體系,台灣已沒有自滿的餘地。

In overall economic performance over the past five years, Taiwan and Korea have both been excellent in different ways while also being in competition with each other. Although in recent years both the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) have ranked Taiwan’s competitiveness far ahead of Korea’s, Korea has shot ahead to become one of the world's fastest developing economies. Taiwan has no room for complacency.
