Recently, Chinese medicine hospitals and clinical centers were installed, which indicated the exhaustive demand of the Chinese medicine for general population. However, the cultivation of Chinese nursing is not still planned very well and performed under a formal system and their quality and ability of staffs in Chinese hospital are also considered by health institution of government. The objectives of this study are to investigate the knowledge and attitude of Chinese medicine and find the related to influencing factors. Eighty two personals enrolled from Taichung city, were interviewed by a construsted questionnaire which was verified by the validity and reliability. The data were analyzed by the package of SPSS/pc+. The results indicated that (1) 76.5% of subjects from non-nursing school did not obtain a formal nursing training; (2) the higher age and educational level were, the more scores of knowledge and attitude for Chinese medicine were; (3) the better performance was found to be a trained nurse during the regular nursing education and conference; (4) the affecting factors of knowledge and attitued for Chinese medicine their age of respondents and graduated nursing school. The cultivation of Chinese medicine nursing should be improved and increase the recognition of Chinese medicine among nurses in Chinese hospitals and clinical centers. Moreover, Chinese medicine nurses should closely cooperate with Chinese medicine physician and effectively promoted the care quality of Chinese medicine in Taiwan. |
