In recent years, research buildings in Taiwan with experimental functions were built massively by the improvements in high-tech and scientific knowledge. This research takes an experimental building in northern Taiwan as an example for applying the instrumental method of field testing for the related effects of indoor-air, acoustic, and thermal impacts to monitor the Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ). The result shows the figures of Indoor Air Quality, noise and thermal factors exceed the healthy standards, and caused a long period of influences on researchers’ productivity and physical health. This research provides the sequence of diagnosis steps for the improvement of Indoor Environment Quality, and some constructive solutions based on the data of the instrumental methodology. |
