In view of the free market competition's value and singificance, maintaining free competition is the first and fundamental economic policy of successive American administrations. Federal antitrust law and policy has long been at the center of economic policy in the country. Drawing on the New Deal'shistorical lessons which had shelved antitrust bplicy and then postponed the economic recovery, the U. S. antitrust policy has been regarded as an important measure response to the recent global economic crisis. |
