Taiwan long has lacked a public astronomy facility, so the public does not have many opportunities to experience astronomy science. Instead, schools continue to build astronomy facilities. For example, 26 elementary schools already have astronomy facilities and more are adding them. If these resources can be shared with the public, it should be helpful to popularize astronomy science. Based on shared points of view, this project evaluates real cases, using site observations and interviews. Several suggestions are provided, including: (1) Space design, facility maintenance, teaching resources, and budget management should be planned properly; (2) Indoor astronomy facilities should not be the only places to be shared. Outdoor observation areas and other astronomy learning areas need to be considered at the same time; (3) Astronomy facilities should be allocated closely for better management and use. |
