Due to inadequate holding of park area per person, as well as system fragmentation and uneven geographical distribution, the parks and green spaces in Taiwan are unable to effectively improve the quality of urban living environment. Therefore, this article discusses the spatial distribution of Taiwan urban parks and green spaces, and ponders how to effectively improve the built environment by means of overall reviews on urban planning, hoping to increase the number of urban parks and green spaces and their even distribution. From the citizen’s perspectives, this study tries to induce the concepts of pedestrian accessibility and fairness, and use simple index calculations for easy understanding and communication to avoid intricate expert system analysis, and for the aspects with regional consensuses, incremental adaptation method is taken to modify the uneven distribution of parks and green spaces, providing a review model that is easy to manipulate and suitable for park and green space establishment and spatial distribution in the built environment. These manipulations are applied to the overall reviews on urban planning to construct an incremental development of an environment improvement model. |
