The disciplined ethics have been a deciding stipulation for professionalism. In order to improve the quality of professional coaches, Taiwan, there, formulated the Code of Ethics of Athletic Coaches in 2010. Through the literature review, this study analyzes the nature of the Code of Ethics of Athletic Coaches. At first, the paper will investigate the implication of the code. Second, the paper will attempt to further explore the codes of coach existing in the three countries: Taiwan, America, and Australia and, the differences of the three countries will be made in the following text. The commonly-shared features based on the inducement can be summarized as follows: 1. The position of an athletic character: the emphasis of the importance of personal morality and exercise; 2. Refer to the subjects: including coach and athlete, audience, media and interbank that relation of ethics; 3. Code of ethics is a nature of persuasion; 4. Interact with athlete: point out the behavior should express or not. After that, the distinctive differences can be shown from the three studied countries, for instance, Taiwan's prevention of areca, and the reinforcement of education in morality, but the lack of the appropriate medical care for the sick/injured athletes, a policy Australia has been implementing. In conclusion, according to the result of research several suggestions can be put forward: for executing the codes and refer for the future modification. |
